Activate Your Inner Power: Grace Liang: Loss and Grief as a Pathway to Activating Your Inner Power

Activate Your Inner Power

It has been said that pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. We all experience pain and loss in our lives – loss of a parent, spouse, or child; loss of a dear friend or beloved pet, loss of a job, loss of income, loss of economic security, to name a few. While the pain of loss is inevitable, finding and activating your inner power is what helps us endure, find peace, and live our lives to the fullest every day. Sometimes all you need is a role model, mentor, or teacher to help you activate your inner power.

Grace Liang is such a woman.

A motivational speaker, author, and social media influencer, Grace found her inner power in the face of daunting adversity. Born and raised in northeastern China, she struggled with poverty, family abuse, and domestic violence for many years before moving to the United States for love in 2007. Sadly, after 10 years of being happily married, Grace lost her husband to cancer in 2017. Her experiences have shaped her attitude toward life and helped her find her inner power and inner strength, not only limited to her personal life, but that same inner power has shaped her professional life too. When asked how the personal loss helped her find her inner strength in other aspects of her life Grace responded “My attitude towards the unknown has changed and I am willing to take even more risks, because the worst thing has happened but turned out I was fine. I also realized that we are not that delicate and we don’t have to just accept all of the unnecessary sufferings if we are willing to heal ourselves. Overall, I trust that I am safe and life supports me.”

“My attitude towards the unknown has changed and I am willing to take even more risks, because the worst thing has happened, but turned out I was fine.”

Grace was able to tap into that inner power to further her career and reshape her professional life. When COVID hit earlier this year, she was a full-time social media influencer. Much like all of us, COVID changed everything for her, “the whole world is grieving over either losing a loved one or our old lifestyle.

So many people are hurting, but our cultures or schools never taught us how to grieve properly. Many people are suffering from incomplete grief; those strong emotions have manifested into many mental and physical illnesses.” This was the inspiration behind Liang stepping up and sharing her own successful experiences healing herself from grief using her “Gracefully Grieving Energy Healing Process”. She channeled that energy into becoming a Grief Energy Healing Coach, grief online course creator, and the Amazon best-selling author of Finding Grace How to Navigate the Journey from Tragedy to Triumph.

Some of the tools Grace has used to find and focus her inner power are affirmations and vision boards. Those affirmations have made many of her dreams come true, from finding a publisher, becoming an Amazon bestselling author, buying her dream home, and even finding love again. She was able to be remarried during the pandemic. She said, “Life does not pause or stop because of loss or COVID.”

According to Liang, the best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones is true happiness. When you view grief and loss as an opportunity to heal, not just this loss, but also previous traumas, you can remove barriers that have prevented you from discovering your inner power. “A healed person has fewer limiting beliefs to hold them back… success becomes easier since you will reduce your self-sabotage behaviors.

Happiness, true happiness is certainly a source of inner power. Why try to glue a shattered old life back together? Instead, build a magnificent life from the ground up. It takes pretty much the same amount of time and energy. After all, it’s never too late to decide what you want to be when you grow up.”

And as women, we should never stop learning and growing. Grief is not to be taken lightly, tamped down, or ignored. “Grief is a whole package of emotions, emotions that are energy in motion.” In Liang’s opinion, “if you don’t intentionally clear the energy path to let it pass through you, it will be stuck in your body and manifest into physical illnesses like weight problems, and heart problems, or emotional blocks like money blocks, relationship blocks. Everyone has their built-in healing power within their subconscious mind, their inner power; but not everyone knows how to tap into it to heal ourselves. Like everything else in life, how to grieve is a skill that can be learned and mastered.”

Take the time to process your feelings. Channel your energy into healing, and then allow yourself to take that refocus energy, that inner power, to achieve what comes next.

Remember, life after loss is not just about how to survive, but also about breaking through to thrive.
