Monica Emerson

Monica Emerson is the Principal of Monica E. Emerson, LLC dba Inclusive Performance Solutions. As the founder and owner of this multi-services human resources consultancy firm, she focuses on providing clients with exceptional diversity and inclusion solutions and training. The services include, but are not limited to, diversity and inclusion strategy development, implementation planning, executive coaching, empowerment workshops, diversity recruitment and relationship management, senior leadership engagement, multi-generational employee management, employee resource group management and keynote speaker. Until December 2011, Ms. Emerson served as the first Navy Diversity Officer for the U.S. Department of the Navy. The Secretary of the Navy appointed her as a Highly Qualified Expert (HQE) in August 2009. In this role, she was the principal advisor to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) on all matters relating to internal and external diversity, providing authoritative vision, expertise and leadership to diversity strategy, policy, planning and activities.  She is the recipient of numerous awards including a 2015 Career Mastered Women’s History Leadership in Action Award.
