Scarlette Whyte
Scarlette Whyte is the Head of Strategy at CNN & TNT Sports News. She hails from the great lakes state of Michigan. She is a proud graduate of Michigan State University where she holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations. Scarlette holds a master’s in public policy from George Mason University. She has also completed executive education at Cornell University. Scarlette has spent two decades in television news production. She got her start at Fox News Channel where she worked on the O’Reilly Factor and Special Report with Bret Baer. Next, Scarlette went on to work for the historic political talk show Hardball with Chris Matthews. After leaving MSNBC, she was a senior producer for The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN where she oversaw bookings for big politics events and townhalls. Scarlette left CNN for a brief two-year stint and went to CBS News Washington. She launched their professional development department. In 2021, Scarlette got a call from CNN asking her to come back and not only head partnerships and strategy for CNN, but their sister network TNT Sports network.
Recognized for her business acumen and strategy, Scarlette was recently admitted to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business’ Global C-Suite Program. In addition, she is an ambassador for two well established non-profits, March of Dimes and Cure Epilepsy. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Scarlette resides outside of Washington D.C in northern Virginia with her husband, Don and their 3 kids; Don III, Claire, and Daniel.
