Scarlette Whyte
Scarlette hails from the Great Lakes state of Michigan and is a proud Alum of Michigan State University. She holds Master of Public Policy from George Mason University. Scarlette has spent a decade in television production. She was a producer and talent booker for the political talk show, Hardball with Chris Matthews . In 2016, she joined CNN as a senior producer for the award-winning show, “The Lead w/ Jake Tapper”. During her tenure at CNN, she oversaw guest bookings for daily programming as well as primetime specials. At the end of 2018, Scarlette transitioned to CBS News where she is now the Director of Staff Development and Diversity Initiatives. Scarlette recently launched the Colour 100 initiative that honors and celebrates women of color who work in television production and journalism. The inaugural Colour 100 awards were covered by NBC News, Politico and Essence. Scarlette lives outside of Washington D.C in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two children.
