Impact: Tailoring Success To Your Personal Identity

Are your style and level of impact connected? When you walk into a room what impact do you want to have? What does your style say about you? Your style is seen through your appearance. It should parallel the impact you lead inside your home, within your community, and with your stakeholders. This level of self-actualization begins with a decision, is personalized, and requires your positive energy!

Research estimates that adults make 35,000 decisions a day. Some of these decisions are unconscious choices that are made without much thought and have little impact in our lives. Other decisions are more difficult and require additional consideration.

Amongst the most difficult daily routine decisions are, what to eat, what to watch, and what to wear. Intentionally connecting your daily decision of “what to wear” back to how you show up as the force you are, can deliver a memorable experience to all who engage with you. Allow your wardrobe and style to visually support your impactful initiatives. Approach style decisions seriously with a realistic strategy that will lead to the positive impact you desire. A practical way to get started is to make the decision to release wardrobe distractions and disconnects by purging your closet. This step will also make room in your closet for fresh new fashion styles.

Personalization is everything! From personalized recommendations on Netflix and Amazon Prime to suggested playlists on Apple Music or Pandora, we all crave to have things that serve us by knowing us. With this same concept in mind, you can create for yourself a curated wardrobe that is strategically connected to your personal success story. We know success is not an accident but rather the courage to carve your own path.

As an Image and Style Coach, I like to remind my clients that “Style Speaks Louder Than Words TM” . Simply put, the force that ignites your actions in an impactful role should be visually identifiable in your outfit selections. For example, if your leadership style is Bold and Powerful, you should opt to wear Modern LBDs (little black dresses), and/ or exaggerated Black and White Prints. For a Relaxed and Simplistic look, make a statement with Monochromatic colors, in natural fabrics. There are numerous ways to incorporate this authentic approach into your lifestyle…including seeking support from a professional Image Consultant/ Wardrobe Stylist.

“Good clothes open all doors”, says Thomas Fuller. This is a quote that speaks to the importance of having positive vibes and good energy toward your appearance. Unlocking your personal style can improve your confidence and also refocus your energy. The time and effort you put into your unique style will communicate what energy you expect in return. Your energy level is not your personality type. Introverts, although quiet, can display cheerful and inviting energy that could shift an entire room. Keep in mind, although high energy is attached to your impactful success journey, understand when it’s time to give yourself a break, retreat, and recharge. Bright colors worn in the warmer months and deep vibrant jewel-tone colors worn in the cooler months quickly give off good energy with positive vibes.
