On May 1, 2025 Career Mastered kicked off their signature Brunch with the Masters: Leadership Conversations event in New York City at Hotel Indigo Wall Street. It was the first of many Leadership Conversations set to come to cities across the nation in 2025, designed to offer an exclusive opportunity for aspiring and established leaders to connect, share insights, and gain wisdom from local industry experts.

The theme this year is Making Connections: It Starts with Her . . . Leadership Tools for today’s global career woman.Hosted by Dr. Lisa J. Wicker, CEO of Linwick Associates and Career Mastered, the event brought together powerful women leaders around the theme “Making Connections – It Starts with Her.” The brunch featured mimosas and a pre-brunch speed networking followed by a historical Career Mastered visit to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Myers Park Country Club was the backdrop for the Charlotte Leadership Conversation, sponsored by Lowe’s, Fifth Third Bank and Primax Properties on May 6th.

It featured Career Mastered honorees and guest speakers April Simpkins, CHRO Questco and Cheslie C. Kyrst Foundation Founder, Jennifer Hunter Sherrill, Ernst & Young Partner, Callie Dobbins, SVP Atrium Health, Rhonda Dean, Vice President, Foundation for the Carolinas, Career Mastered Ambassadors Marie McLucas and Sallie Jarosz, and Erica Bryant, WSOC-TV Anchor as Mistress of Ceremonies.

When asked about the Brunch with the Masters Leadership Conversations events, the founder Dr. Lisa L Wicker shared. These are powerful afternoons full of purpose, passion, and possibility. Attendees show up ready to lean in and engage and they leave the event with inspiration for new boldness to master their careers. “

“This is more than an event. It’s a movement. Together, we are not just mastering careers and life, we are changing the world — one leader at a time.”
