Coming off of a year of uncertainty, loss, and challenges, we’ve all had to adjust some of our family traditions for holidays, birthdays, weddings, and more.
I am persuaded that celebrating the holidays without my mother will never feel normal. To be honest, this entire year has not felt normal, due to the pandemic.
Christmas was my mother’s favorite holiday. She taught my siblings and me about the meaning behind Christmas including honoring the birth of the baby Jesus, sharing love, food, gifts, and laughter. In honor of her memories, my family and I include her legacies to ensure her story is shared for years to come.
Now more than ever, during this holiday season, we need to be reminded to honor our traditions of celebrations and legacies. That is why A Royal Salute has been chosen as the theme for the winter edition of Career Mastered Magazine. We count it an honor to provide a royal salute to the late Iconic Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy, the second woman elevated to the Court.
She was a giant in legal and women’s history. A powerful advocate for the progressive view of civil liberties, Ginsburg became a pop cultural icon. She is our cover story.
